Concrete planers are construction tools that are used to smooth concrete, stone and other forms of masonry. They do this through the use of a rotating grinding wheel, and typically produce a much better finish than using an angle grinder.
Depending on the type of finish that is required, two different grinding heads may be used on a concrete planer. A segmented grinding head is commonly used for coarse work, whilst a continuous rim is traditional used for finishing work.
